Die

(No, I'm not emo. It's a piece I wrote for my Writer's Craft class with the theme of 'Death'.)

To die is different from what anyone supposed...
No one knows when he or she will die
What makes it hard to live are the fears;
The fears that stop us from during what we want,
What we want to accomplish...
It makes death all the more scary, more frightening.

Suppose we die now.
Do we have regrets?
Regrets of not being able to reach your goal?
Regrets of not taking advantage of those
once-in-a-lifetime opportunities?

To die is different from what anyone supposed...
Because to die has a different meaning for each person.

To die... is a mystery.

Kill For Perfection

Perfection is so overrated,
Just like how fashion can be outdated.
The stares, the calls that seem to allure;
The stumble, the falls that seem to amuse.

That perfection seems to be protecting you
From the invisible, daggered stares,
Nothing ever seems so fair.
You always have that absolute pair.
It attracts, it soothes, it protects, it moves.

I decided to take it into my own hands,
And make yourself more defined.
Did you know, sister, you look absolutely divine,
in that gorgeous red color.
I guess perfection couldn't protect you forever.

The eyes that bore at the back of my head,
I knew, disliked me from the start.
But I never expected my "perfection" to lead to my death,
and a knife right through my heart.

Goodbye

Goodbye to the times we shared;
the good, the bad, the fun and the boring.
Goodbye to the memories we made;
whether it was by ourselves, or with our friends.
Goodbye to the days we spent together;
those months in the rain and in the sun.
Goodbye.

I had no regrets, I promise you that.

Why am I leaving?
Sorry, but I just realized the truth.
And reality pulled me back.

You know what they say?
They say that opposites attract.
But what reality told me was that we were just too different.

I will not be selfish.
I will not tell you to change: to fit my needs
my wants
my likes
I don't want to change you.

I am sorry.
And goodbye.

An Angel's Smile

(An excerpt from Gokinjo Monogatari.)

If I look up at the heavenly clouded sky
And I'm still tediously climbing that hill today,
I began to feel half-hearted, but...
When I think of that favorite girl of mine,
It keeps me putting one foot forward over another.

My Girl
Has an angel's smile...
When it gets heavier,
I gather my way back home;
The way home which leads to you.

My Girl...
Has an angel's smile.

A Girl's Expectations

Every girl has an expectation (or more) from the second-half they are searching for. Of course, it varies between personalities and preferences, but this is my own list of what a girl expects from a guy:

1. Learn to be CONSIDERATE. * Think about her feelings, too!

2. Know your limits. There are BOUNDARIES.

3. Do NOT be a total hypocrite.

4. Learn to give her SPACE.

5. Find out about her interests, hobbies, etc. It is nice to know something that you can relate to.

6. Do NOT annoy the hell out of her.

7. Accept her FLAWS. Face it, EVERYONE HAS THEM. Get OVER IT!

8. Be FRIENDLY, KIND, and FUNNY. No one wants an asshole.

9. Do NOT be overprotective. It's cute, but freaking ANNOYING. Girls need to BREATHE.

10. Most importantly, LOVE HER.

... Is this too much to ask for?
