Where Our Taxes Go >> EPIC FAIL.

So, I have been browsing around Youtube for a bit a few weeks back, looking at the most random videos, and I found one that I found completely HILARIOUS. I couldn't stop laughing about it, and its really great to know how our tax money is being used. Also, read the comments people have posted up, I'm sure it will make your day.

To see the comments, click here. (Just scroll down once the Youtube page finishes loading).

PS. Just ignore the name of the video, I'm assuming that the person named it that to catch the viewer's attention.

Boredom Knows NO Boundaries

I am completely, and utterly BORED.

So I decided to write an entire entry about it.

Sitting here in my room, fiddling with my laptop for the past two hours was a waste of my life, and I won't ever get it back.

Normally, I'm either downstairs cleaning, cooking, baking or gardening, OR out with my friends chilling, having fun, going on shopping sprees - which, by the way, I am running out of money :( - or going to the Theatre and watching awesome movies. But, no. My friends are either out of town on family vacations and camping, or they're working.

So, I'm left to bore myself to death.

At least, until my two little cousins come by in an hour with my Aunty and her husband (who I did not really take a liking to whatsoever). I'm not going to say the reason(s) - notice the 's' there? - as to why I don't like my 'uncle' because I know its going to be extremely mean and rude. BUT, I'm just going to say that I haven't accepted him for the past two years since he and my aunt married, and I probably won't accept him in the near future.

But yeah, my little cousins, the last time I saw them was a couple of months ago? Or was it a year? Well, all I know is that they probably don't remember me, so I know they're going to be a little bit shy and awkward. Hmm... anyone know how to get little kids to open up easily? Please, tell me.

Well, other than that, there is nothing else that's happening today.

TTYL.

"So You Think You Can Dance" America >> Season 5: Winner - Jeanine Mason

SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE ~SEASON 5~ :
WINNER - JEANINE MASON

The best dancer I have seen by far! So young, yet so talented. She is my absolute favorite during the entire season, and I honestly wish her best in the future. Contemporary really suits her, and she made me realize that contemporary is an amazing form of dance, and I already love it after seeing her on stage. All the dances she performed were totally amazing, especially the dance she did with Jason; they are both awesome :).

This year's season had many really talented dancers with loads of potential, especially Jason, Kayla and Evan (who were also my other favorites).

This is honestly why I like the American version of So You Think You Can Dance! than the Canadian version, because I find that there are more talent in America (since it's a pretty big country) even though I'm Canadian myself.

;P

But, I hope that there are more dancers like her that can make it in the big world.

Little Green Monster

I’m assuming that one would already know the topic of this little blog just by the title. But just to clarify:

Green Monster = Jealousy

And we all know that jealousy causes us only pain and annoyance.

For example, from my experiences, jealousy had ruined a good friendship of mine. I had a friend who I really treasured, and you could say he was like an older brother I never had, but never actually got. We were extremely close. We met at my semi-formal night, and I guess I may have, flirted, with him a bit, ONLY because one of my classmates likes him and brought him as a date but she didn’t know if he felt the same way about her. So my task, you could say, was to find out if he liked her that way or not. But the plan backfired at me, and my friends, I guess. Instead of figuring out if he liked that classmate of mine or not, he got the wrong idea and thought that I liked him. But I didn’t. In the end, I rejected him. We remained close friends though.

HOWEVER, in comes along my other friend, who has a very … honest personality. Okay, scratch that. BLUNT personality. I just thought, hey, that’s her personality, I can’t change that. But the moment she started going out with my close friend, she began to get jealous because we “had a history together” and that we “hang out too much”. Oh, please.

Then, she tore away him away from me and now he avoids me. Well, guess what? I don’t care anymore. I'm not going to be the kind of person that makes her close guy friend choose between the close friend and his girlfriend, even though the close friend doesn't really like the girlfriend because of her twisted attitude. I honestly try to STAY AWAY from drama at all costs, so if all that meant that I would get caught in a whirlwind of pointless fights and arguments, then forget it. I’m not going to bother.

In the end, I don’t really talk to either of them anymore, and it is so freaking awkward ‘cause his friends are also my friends. I know, even I can feel jealous, but not to the extent where I'll make someone choose between people! I mean, what kind of person is that?

What I learned from all this: Jealousy is one huge ass BITCH.

The End.

As I lay here on my bed at 3:04 in the morning (I can't sleep T_T), I just thought, what would happen if the world came to an end right now, unexpectedly, and then we are reborn. What would happen?

Would we start off as cavemen again? Hunting and learning the basic needs for survival?

Would we reinvent what had already been invented before? Perhaps, the telephone? Or better yet, fire?

Would we let technology and money corrupt the better of society just like in the past? Create more wars and participate in stupid battles?

Or, would we learn from our mistakes and do something about it before it's too late?

Although everyone realizes that the society has been engulfed by greed, power and money, I have come to notice that no one exactly made a stand to stop it. It's perfectly understandable that the society runs on money, but now, there are endless amounts of things that are unnecessary and pointless.

For example, half-million European cars. I've got to admit, they are pretty nice and easy to look at. But please explain to me - a girl who, although does admire nice cars, just doesn't understand why in God's name would one need a freaking stereo in the trunk of the car and a theatre system inside the bloody vehicle to entertain one's self for a mere 5 minutes - how that exactly benefits anyone usefully, including our now slowly-being-destroyed environment.

Then, there are an increase in pointless games and game systems. I mean, it's nice to play video games and engulf yourself into a whole new world away from reality (God knows everyone wants to get away from the stresses of life and just let 10 minutes to yourself to be carefree), but don't go to the extent where you'd spend every damn minute with the game that, I'm sure if you even got the opportunity, you'd marry it. (Yes, I actually know people who are like that.) There are other things to do in life, you know. Learn to get away from the screen, and just, carpe diem.

Not to mention, alcohol. Don't get me wrong, I drink on occasion. But not to the extent where I get completely wasted and not remember what happened the night before. Call me a party pooper, but please, I wouldn't want to wake up the next day and find out that I made a complete and utter fool out of myself. Or better yet, I wouldn't even wake up 'cause I drowned in my own pool of vomit due to excessive drinking. But hey, don't let me scare you. It's your life. Yes, the feeling of getting wasted makes you release all the tension from the world and allows you into the dimension of carelessness and freedom, but I'm just saying, alcohol has never met any good end, and most likely never will.

I mean, COME ON. Not all people could be this bloody blind to the obvious facts. And you wonder about the increasing issue of today's society concerning obesity and lack of exercise among the community, both young and old.

Really, learn to face the facts.

Accept reality.

Do something about it.

Make a change.

God only knows when the last grain of sand will fall in our small hourglass.
